We LOVE Kim. She took the most unbelievable pictures during our wedding day, has a tremendously creative eye and talent, and felt like part of our family more than a photographer on our wedding day. Kim Praast is a talented artist as well as pragmatic, cutomer service oriented proffessional. I dont know how she wears both hats so well, but she does! From the initial phone call I was comfortable with her, which is imperative when choosing the person you have alongside you at every moment of one of the most amazing days of your life. Kim suggested we work together on engagement photos, which she provides at a very reasonable rate. This was a critical step in the process of getting exactly the photographs in the style we hoped for on our wedding day. It got us familiar with Kim, comfortable with the camera, and guided our conversations and requests. It also resulted in some super fun photos so dont skip this step! On the wedding day, Kim was the consumate proffessional. She straddled the line between being engaging, amusing and blending in to the point of disappearing, all the while capturing beautiful images of us, our guests and the location. I delighted in having her with me every step of the way, from getting dressed, to the intimate moments after the ceremony, through the thrill of the reception all the way to the bitter end. Working with her to create albums after the fact has also been a joy. Kim is responsive to our timeline, sensitive to our budget and enthusiastically works in the myriad of styles we have asked her to provide in order to satisfy all the different tastes in our families. Can you tell that I adore her and her work? I cannot reccommend her highly enough. You cannot go wrong with this photographer!

Kim is awesome! We feel we made a friend who just so happens to be a photographer at our wedding. We originally picked Kim for the artistry of her work. We were blown away. Not just the standard portrait shots, but a unique vision at the events she supported. This was exactly what she provided for us as well. Kim's responses were without comparison. Actually, we were probably the bottleneck in terms of communications. She is equally as concerned about our impressions and opinions of her work as she is about our feelings about the total experience. This was displayed by her frequent contact with us. Professionalism: Take this example and ponder how you feel. When other photogs are hell bent on "hocking their wares" to any Tom, Dick, or Harry, Kim worked exclusively through us to ensure that WE had complete control of what photos went out AND provided us with all the originals. Add in the commitment to understand and meet our expectations throughout the process, and you get an idea how impressed with her professionalism. Value: Kim's prices reflect her product. Her work is art. What she provides is unique, and a perfect chronolgy of our event. I have poured over the photo set at least 8 times since receiving the originals, and each time I start laughing, remembering the event, and think our lucky we are to have the photos. We are so happy that we found Kim. She is our photographer for life. Flexibility: Kim worked with us on every aspect of the photography negotiations, both before, during, and after the event. She blended in to the event, was not demanding in the least, and was a very positive part of our event. As you can tell, we can't say enough fantastic things about Kim Praast. If you TRUELY want to capture your special event, I mean capture the real event and not the standard boring wedding portraits that thousands of others have, then Kim is your person. We will always remember her, promote her, and ask her to be a part of as many future events as she can stand to be a part of.

We had Kim do our engagement pictures, shower pictures, bachelorette pictures and wedding pictures so I had a lot of time to interact with her. She has such a great eye for beautiful shots and has the ability to turn nothing into something. We loved her work because it wasn't cookie cutter at all. Each shot had either a unique angle or set up or pose that made them look original and artistic. She was also great about blending into the background so that you almost didn't even know she was there. She caught some great candid shots because of it! I received so many positive comments about our pictures it's unreal. Kim also got us our pictures very quickly. We saw a couple within a few days after and had the whole bunch within a week or two. I loved that she gave us the discs of pictures too so that now we can do what we want with them. Aside from her work she is so much fun to work with and we almost felt like she was part of the family by the end of all the events. We will definitely be using her again for any other big events we have throughout our lives.

Kim was a bride's dream. She was very professional and completely unobtrusive. When looking for a photographer you have to remember that this person will be with you for the entire day. Her personality and energy is very contagious, as you can see in all of her photographs. I highly recommend her services for any type of photography you are looking for. Kim is warm, engaging and lovely! We are two people who consider ouselves extremely unphotogenic, and she made us look like rock stars. We were not interested in super-posed pictures and the results of her gentle instructions yielded beautiful shots that captured our emotions on film. We love having the exclusive rights to the pictures to reproduce as we wish with the option to create albums with Kim later. We would absolutely reccommend Kim not only for the quality of her work, which is relaxed and artsy at the same time, but for the simple fact that she is someone we would choose to be friends with and enjoy spending time with. Pictures are what you have to remember your wedding day by, so making an investment with your photography vendor is key. Everyone that we have shown the photos to says "Wow--those are gorgeous!"
